When I started photography as a hobby who knew it was going to turn into a
complete obsession for me. A fact to which my neglected (if you were to
believe him) husband will attest.
Based in Northern Ireland I consider myself a newbie to photography even
though I have been shooting seriously for at least 4 years. I am a firm
believer in the more you know the more you know you don’t know. I view every
session as a unique chance to capture moments for a bride, or child, or
occasional, languid morning cow found hanging their head over my fence
sniffing suspiciously at my demented dog. Each click is an opportunity to
enhance my skills and expand my creativity. I truly don’t think I will ever
stop learning and loving phototography and the thrill of seeing the final
result.
My style is very casual and falls into the photojournalistic category. As a
member of the WPJA for me it’s all about capturing the fleeting moments
rather then ensuring perfect posture and exposure for every shot.
Alwyn, a recent bride wanted to use a farm theme for her Trash the Dress
(TTD) session.
The entire day of her wedding, Alwyn could not be found without her smile
proclaiming she was the cat who got the cream. So for contrast, we wanted
to do something totally different moody with a lot of sassy attitude for her
TTD session. She literally threw herself into this and, as you’ll see, the
wheelbarrow!
Here are the results of a day down on the farm.
